Get ready for a weekend full of adrenaline, the sound of engines and breathtaking maneuvers! Aeroclub Košice, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic and partners, brings it to Prešov.
Thanks to the strategic partnership, we can organize the SIAD 2025 airshow and thus lay the foundations for a new tradition, with a new attractive location at the Prešov air base, and at the same time take the event to a completely new level thanks to the full support of the Slovak Armed Forces as well as demonstrations from abroad, which have not yet had a premiere in our region. MINISTRY OF DEFENSE
The Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic plays a key role in ensuring the defence and protection of the state's territory against external threats. It manages the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, which are ready to respond to both military and non-military crisis situations, including natural disasters. It contributes to the security of citizens through the modernisation of equipment, training and cooperation with international partners within NATO and the EU. The Ministry is also involved in civil protection, for example by using the army in the event of floods or pandemics.
AEROCLUB KOŠICE
Aeroklub Košice is one of the oldest and most prestigious aviation clubs in Slovakia. It provides a wide range of aviation activities, including pilot training, aerobatic flights, and sightseeing flights over the picturesque eastern Slovak region. The club organizes aviation events and popularizes aviation among the public. With its equipment and experience, Aeroklub Košice is an ideal place for all aviation enthusiasts.
ARMED FORCES OF THE SR
The Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic are the main component of the state's defense and ensure the protection of its territorial integrity and sovereignty. In addition to military tasks, they also help the civilian population in the event of natural disasters, accidents or pandemics. They actively participate in international missions, thereby contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the world. Through their activities, they increase the security of citizens and support the development of patriotism and defense awareness in society.
51. PREŠOV WING
The Prešov Military Helicopter Base is an important element of the armed forces, ensuring air support and mobility of units. Its helicopters are used not only for military tasks, but also in rescue and humanitarian missions at home and abroad. The base plays an important role in managing crisis situations, such as floods, fires or search operations. In this way, it contributes not only to the defense of the territory, but also to the protection of the health and safety of the civilian population.
